Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore, told Radio Sheffield that his team needs somebody to light the blue torch paper and get them going.

Speaking after yesterday’s disappointing nil-nil draw at Don Valley with Aldershot, Moore said, ‘We lacked spark. Aldershot are a good footballing side but I don’t think any of their strikers had a shot between them and it’s down to our players to re-act to that and play the right balls at the right time.

‘We started 4-3-3 with the idea that Warney (Paul Warne) would get in behind their number eight who is their playmaker. But, the problem we had was their left winger was coming in deep and we needed our right back to go and nail him. That didn’t happen and they had a lot of space down the left side in the first half. We changed it and went back to 4-4-2.

‘We probably had the best chance of the game with the header from Nicho (Andy Nicholas) and he did what we tell the strikers to do and head it down but the ‘keeper has made a save.

‘Overall, it wasn’t the best performance and we are lacking that spark. We need somebody to make it happen. They can’t wait for me and Jimmy (Mullen) to make it happen for them, they have to do it themselves.’
