Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore, has once again failed at the last hurdle to bring in a striker to partner top scorer Adam Le Fondre.

Moore told Les Payne of The Star that he has enquired about a dozen strikers, thinking that he had got at least two coming in, only to be thrawted at the last minute. The first was Mark McCammon who opted to go to Bradford City instead, and ironically could be playing against the Millers on Saturday. The second, who Moore has recently watched, he has refused to name but said he had vast experience. It seems that his club, after saying they would let him out, have now done a U-turn and changed their minds.

After the four-nil defeat on Tuesday at Rochdale, Moore said that former Millers striker, Chris O’Grady bossed the game. ‘He got hold of the ball, held it up, got players into the game,’ Moore said, ‘ and we need someone who can do that.’
