Rotherham United winger, Andy Liddell has today signed a one year contract for the club.

Liddell, who was on a month contract told the Official Site, ‘My main goal in the month I’ve had here was to show the manager and his staff that I was worth a longer contract. Now I’ve done that, my next aim is to prove I am worth a place in the team on a regular basis.

‘My fitness isn’t quite up with the rest of the squad but I’ve played a reserve game and coming off the bench for ten or twenty minutes has been an enormous help. I am determined to show that I can still play football and help the club achieve it’s goals for the season.’

Andy was born in Leeds and began his career at Oakwell before moving to Wigan in 1988. He spent a season with Sheffield United, moving to Oldham in 2005. He has twelve under-21 caps for Scotland.
