The Millers travel to Gloucester for their next League Two game on Saturday

Rotherham United travel to Cheltenham Town this weekend hoping for their first win under caretaker Manager, Steve Thornber.

Cheltenham Town have been in existence since 1887 although they only joined the league in 1999 after coming up from the Conference as Champions. The Millers and The Robins have only met four times before, with honours being equal, and winning two each. The first time the teams met was in League Two in October 1999 at Whaddon Road when Steve Thompson scored a penalty for the Millers followed by a Paul Warne goal two minutes after half-time to give the visitors all three points.

The last time the teams met was in 2006/07 season in League One and Cheltenham won both games – two-nil at Whaddon Road in December and four-two in April at Millmoor when the Millers had gone two up in the first twenty-five minutes with goals from Marc Newsham and Ian Henderson, on loan from Norwich, only for goals from Kayode Odejayi, Steven Gillespie (two) and John Melligan to give the Robins the win.
