Rotherham United’s Assistant Manager Richie Barker is looking forward to meeting his former club on Saturday.

Richie joined Charlton in December 2016 as first team coach, leaving to join the Millers five months later. But Addicks Manager Karl Robinson and Barker go back further than that having worked together at MK Dons before Charlton.

‘Charlton have a very good Manager who I enjoyed working with for three and a half years,’ Barker told the Official Site.

‘I know a fair percentage of the players and know Karl well. Funnily enough my last game in charge of MK Dons was against him which was his first game in charge of Charlton. We both tried to outwit each other with a few curve balls so he will know what I’m thinking and vice-versa.’

And Richie will still be having a quick look at Charlton now and again as his son has signed for the U15’s there and he said, ‘I had no hesitation in putting him in a top Academy, where they produce some top players and I’m sure he’ll be looked after while he’s there.’
