Rotherham United have admitted defeat in signing midfielder Dru Yearwood from Southend.

The 72 Transfer Centre says the Millers won’t be upping their £200,000 bid, which Southend rejected, for the nineteen year old. They could, however, make another bid for Jamie Lindsay after his current club Ross County turned down what was thought to be a £150,000 bid from Rotherham.

Another player on the Millers’ Manager Paul Warne‘s radar is Blackpool defender Curtis Tilt, who has also played for Wrexham and had a loan spell with Forest Green Rovers, with the Rotherham Boss thinking he might have to replace Semi Ajayi next season.

The Millers will be hoping to get players in this week before they go on to Germany for their training camp and, if we let Ben Purrington leave it probably will be defenders the Gaffer is concentrating on.

Rotherham have already brought in striker Freddie Ladapo, winger Julien Lamy, midfielder Shaun McDonald and Carlton Morris on loan from Norwich City.
