Rotherham United have reported to have turned down a second bid for midfielder Matt Crooks.

Already having been said to have turned down Ipswich Town’s initial bit of £400,000 the TWTD is now reporting that a second bid for either £500,000 or £600,000 from the Tractor Boys has also been rebuffed, the Millers obviously wanting more for one of the last couple of seasons’ best players.

Crooks joined the Millers from Northampton Town in January 2019 on a three-and-a-half year deal and still has a year of that to run. The twenty-seven year old has made just shy of one hundred appearances in a Rotherham shirt, forty-two of those coming last season where he scored seven goals and was January’s EFL Championship Player of the Month.

As a fan I don’t want to see Matt Crooks leave the New York Stadium but, if that happens, then I really want us to get ‘big bucks’ for him, mainly because I believe he will be difficult to replace.
