Rotherham United Chairman, Denis Coleman, has tonight said on Radio Sheffield that he will only let players go if it is right for the Millers.

He said, ‘We have offered Lee Williamson a new contract and we want him to stay. This will probably not happen. We have had clubs in for him and they will have to fight it out amongst themselves. There have been four certain offers – three written bids and one verbally. One or two others made enquiries about him last week. You have to remember that there are not many clubs working today and I think we will see things starting to happen later this week.`

On Will Hoskins he said, ‘We have had two official bids of half a million plus. A third bid came in this morning and I will be looking at that tonight.

‘I have asked the manager to tell Will I want to talk to him tomorrow after training. I want to see what he wants to do. We don`t want to keep any players at Millmoor if they do not want to be here.`

When asked about incoming players, Mr Coleman replied, ‘Alan Knill will be having a meeting with the Scouts. They have been looking at a lot of players. I have told the manager to get a list of who he would like and we will sit down and talk about it and the board will then see what we can do.`
