Millers Away At Shrewsbury – Stats

Rotherham United got their seventh away league win of the season yesterday when they beat Shrewsbury Town at the Greenhous Meadow by two goals to one.

The stats show us that possession was fifty-fifty while the Millers had a couple of more corners than the hosts.

Our passing accuracy in the opponents half comes out at fifty-three per cent while overall it was fifty-six per cent although our crossing had an accuracy of just thirty-eight per cent.

The Millers had sixteen shots at goal with five of those on target while Shrewsbury had two shots on target for three at goal – their first being their goal on the sixty-sixth minute. The fouls stats say that the Shrews conceded twenty-one fouls to the Millers’ fourteen with the three yellow cards of the game all going to the hosts.

In his post-match interview Warney said that he wants his side to create more chances and to see more crosses into the box. I do think our crossing has been a bit of a problem this season but didn’t think we did too badly yesterday.
