Rotherham United played away at Burton Albion tonight in a pretty poor game that ended 0-0.

Mark Robins started with a strong team, which started well and pushed for an early goal. The Millers’ Derek Holmes hit a hard volley, which was well saved by Burton ‘keeper Kevin Poole. The Millers had another chance soon after as Chris O’Grady found himself one on one with Burtons ‘keeper but a pretty poor shot was easily saved by Kevin Poole. The rest of the first half ended pretty uneventful, with Burton yet to show any real threat to the Miller`s goal.

In the second half a poor match turned even poorer in many of the fans opinions as no real goalmouth action occurred. The Millers made various substitutions with Marc Newsham and Ryan Taylor just two of the players to come onto the pitch and try and grab the visitors a goal. Burton started to push forward with two good shots, one of which went just wide to Andy Warrington`s right. It was then the Miller`s turn to push up with a couple of late corners but the visitors did not capitalize from these. The referee blew the final whistle after 3 minutes added time and a pretty poor game ended Rotherham United 0-0 Burton Albion.
