Pukka Pies have been selling at football grounds for 25 years and have chosen our very own Millmoor to celebrate the Anniversary.

The company was founded by the present chairman in 1963 and employs 250 people making over 40 million pies, ranging from good old meat and potato to the now infamous balti pie. This summer the company sponsored the England Band out in Germany at the World Cup who, with the backing of former England Manager, Graham Taylor, became known as ‘Pukka Pies England Band’.

The Millers became the first club to stock Pukka Pies, courtesy of Eric Twigg Foods, in 1981. Eric Twigg, who started his business in 1966, is Yorkshire’s only distributor of freshly baked Pukka Pies.

At tomorrow’s game, at half time, a bronze Pukka Pie trophy will be presented to the club to mark the 25th Anniversary.
