Rotherham United`s latest on loan signing, Ian Henderson, told the Advertiser that he is at Millmoor to score goals.

‘I have come here to do my best,` he said, ‘and that includes scoring goals.` Henderson, who has come in from Norwich City, played in the England Under 20`s with ex Miller, Will Hoskins but says he didn`t know much about him. ‘I went away with England with him and he played on the right side. Until I saw him scoring goals this season I didn`t know he was a striker.` Henderson also played at Under 20`s level with Scott Wiseman for England in a tournament in Toulon.

Henderson, 22 this week, said he doesn`t feel under any pressure following Will Hoskins and wearing his old number ten shirt. ‘No two players are the same,` he said, ‘though I will try and play a similar role.`

Peter Grant, the new Canaries boss, will be watching Henderson while he is at Millmoor to see if he is worth keeping at Carrow Road. Henderson has had a few injuries of late and, before joining the Millers, had only played 2 reserve games since September. ‘I need to get my match fitness up, ‘he said, ‘I have come here for a month, initially, but hopefully I will be able to stay longer. I am attracted by Alan Knill`s ability to bring in young players and it is good that the club is bringing the younger players through. I have not been out on loan before but I am ready for the challenge.`
