Rotherham United make the trip to Buckinghamshire to Adams Park to take on last season’s fellow relegation side Wycombe Wanderers.
Last time the pair met in Wycombe was September 2020 when it looked like being a goalless draw until two minutes into time added on Michael Ihiekwe jumped above everyone to head the only goal of the game home for the visitors.
It was March 2013 that the pair last met at Wycombe in a League Two game which saw Joel Grant open the scoring for the hosts on seven minutes. Two second-half Daniel Nardiello goals put the visitors in front but in the final ten minutes Gary Doherty saved a point for the Chairboys making it two-all.
Before that the pair met at Adams Park in January 2011 when Gareth Ainsworth got the only goal of the game on twenty-eight minutes for the Chairboys. In the final minute of the game Jason Taylor was judged to have fouled Ben Strevens and got a second yellow card and an early bath.
David McCracken scored the only goal for the home side in February 2008 with a Tuesday night game in March 2001 saw an Alan Lee goal on eighty-three minutes give the visitors all three points.
October 1996 saw six goals in the meeting between the Division Two sides. Mark Druce and Andy Hayward for the visitors and Matt Lawrence for Wycombe gave Rotherham a two-one lead going in at half-time but two goals from Steve McGavin and one from John Williams saw the hosts get a four-two win at the Causeway Stadium.
The first time the pair met on Wycombe soil was in February 1995 which was a two-nil home win thanks to goals from Simon Stapleton and Miquel De Souza.
The game at the New York Stadium earlier this season was a goalless draw.
