Rotherham United welcome QPR to the New York Stadium for what will be their sixth league visit to the Millers ground.

March 2023 saw Rangers last at the New York Stadium when Jordan Hugill put the hosts in front on fifteen minutes. Hugill got his and the Millers second from the penalty spot on seventy minutes with the Hoops getting a penalty of their own thirteen minutes later which Jamal Lowe scored from making it two-one but Rotherham wrapped up the win on the ninetieth minute when a Georgie Kelly shot was blocked but only going as far as Hakeem Odoffin whose low shot flew into the net.

The pair were also in Rotherham in April 2021 which saw the visitors open the scoring on fifty-two minutes with a Lyndon Dykes goal. But the Millers came back and Freddie Ladapo scored twice in two minutes to put the hosts in front with Michael Smith joining in when he took the ball from the half-way line, dashing up the pitch and making it a three-one win for the hosts.

November 2018 saw Rangers at the New York Stadium when a strike from Will Vaulks from just outside the box gave the Millers the lead on six minutes. Nahki Wells equalised for the visitors six minutes later but within three minutes the Millers were back in front after a Vaulks free-kick saw Clark Robertson rise above everyone else to give Rotherham back the lead. It looked like the Millers would get all three points after doing well to keep a determined Rangers side out but it proved too much and in stoppage time a diving header in the box beat defenders and ‘keeper to give the visitors a share of the points.

The time before that saw the teams meet at the New York Stadium in December 2016 again in the Championship when the Millers got their first win since August thanks to an Izzy Brown goal on the twenty-fourth minute.

January 2016 at the New York Stadium was going well for the Millers until seven minutes into the second half when Junior Hollett scored for the visitors. Two minutes later Matt Phillips added to the score with a goal on the stroke of full-time from Sebastian Polter making it a three-nil QPR victory. The only yellow of the game was to the Millers Shay Facey.

March 2005 was the time before last season we saw Rangers in town and it was at Millmoor when a Martin Rowlands goal on fifty-three minutes won the game for the visitors. John Mullin, Martin McIntosh and Michael Keane were booked on the day for the Millers with Rangers having Danny Shittu, Martin Rowlands and Paul Furlong yellow carded.

The first time that Rotherham and QPR met at Millmoor was in March 1952 when the hosts won one-nil with a goal from Jack Grainger.
