Rotherham United travel to the Coventry Building Society Stadium to take on Coventry City for a game under the lights on Tuesday.

The Millers were last here in October 2022 when Cohen Bramall put them in front just before half-time. Gustavo Hamer equalised on seventy-six minutes only for Conor Washington to regain the lead for the visitors three minutes later. A penalty in time added on saw Viktor Gyokeres make it two-all with both teams getting a point.

Before this the Millers met Coventry ‘away’ at their temporary home of St Andrew’s in December 2020 and was a three-one win to City with first half goals from Maxime Biamou and Tyler Walker and a second half goal that saw a shot from Leo Ostigard hit the leg of Michael Smith and go in making it three. The Millers got a late consolation from the penalty spot which Dan Barlaser scored.

February 2020 also saw Rotherham take on Coventry at St Andrew’s when a poor decision by Sky Blues ‘keeper Marko Marosi saw him spill the ball from a corner which fell to Freddie Ladapo who popped it in the net to give the visitors the lead. Marosi did make amends a few minutes later when he made a superb save from Ladapo. Harsh words from Mark Robins at half-time saw City come out fighting and they drew level on forty-seven minutes when Matt Godden headed home. A bad looking injury to Rotherham’s Dan Barlaser saw him stretchered off with just over a quarter-of-an-hour to go and despite nine added minutes because of the injury neither side scored again giving them both a point which saw the Millers keep their top spot in League One.

Before that the Millers played an away game against Coventry in November 2013 when the Sky Blues were playing their home games at Northampton’s Sixfield Stadium. Three second-half goals from Nouha Dicko, scoring his first goal in a Rotherham shirt, followed by goals from Alex Revell and Kieran Agard getting his from the penalty spot saw Rotherham come back to South Yorkshire with all three points.

The pair last met at Highfield Road in September 2004 in a Championship game that ended goalless.

A 1964 Division Two game at Highfield Road in December saw eight goals with the Millers winning five three with John Galley getting a hat-trick and one goal each for Albert Bennet and Ian Butler.

The first game that saw Rotherham County and the Sky Blues played on Coventry soil was a one-all draw in January 2020 the Rotherham goal coming from Glennon.

The game at the New York Stadium in October saw second half goals from Lee Peltier and Ollie Rathbone give the Millers all three points.
