Rotherham United have signed last year loanee Grant Hall – subject to ratification from the FA and EFL.

The central defender was on loan with the Millers from Middlesbrough last season and played twenty-one times before an injury in February brought his season to an early close.

Grant came through the youth ranks with Brighton and Hove Albion before joining Blue Square Premier outfit Lewes coming back to Brighton the following season. January 2012 saw him make his Championship debut coming off the bench at the Amex Stadium against Southampton. In 2012 he joined Tottenham Hotspur and while with Spurs had loan spells with Swindon Town, Birmingham City and Blackpool, where he scored his first league goal. After a successful trial, August 2015 saw Grant move to Queens Park Rangers where he went on to play one hundred and thirty games, his last season with them seeing him hit the net five times. Grant became Neil Warnock’s first signing for Middlesbrough in July 2020 and he went on to make just twenty-eight appearances for ‘Boro his time curtailed by injury there.
