Who Was Voted Vital Rotherham’s Man Of The Month For August?

|

After the first month of the new season Vital Rotherham United’s Man of the Month for August is striker Kyle Vassell.

Vas joined the Millers from Blackpool in the summer of 2018 signing a three year deal making his debut off the bench in the first game of the season. The following February he had a groin injury which ended with him having to have an operation keeping him out until April where he made four appearances off the subs bench. The Irishman has made six appearances so far this season scoring in our four-nil win away at Shrewsbury in the Carabao Cup before, unfortunately, having to go off after twelve minutes last Saturday with a hamstring injury although it is not as bad as first thought and he could be back before the end of September.

Kyle was voted our Man of the Match in the game against Shrewsbury and the following game away at Burton.

In our first game of the season, away at AFC Wimbledon, we had a tie for Man of the Match with both Clark Robertson and Michael Ihiekwe tying for first place. Matthew Olosunde got the votes in our home games with Manchester United U21’s in the EFL Trophy and against Lincoln City while goalkeeper Daniel Iversen was voted Man of the Match in the Carabao Cup game with our neighbours at S6. The final game of the month saw another tie with our voters not being able to separate Michael Ihiekwe and new boy Chiedozie Ogbene.

Although there were others who got as many Man of the Matches as Kyle, he got most votes over the month.

Vital Rotherham Man Of The Match Table
1. Vassell
2. Wiles
3. Iversen
3. Olosunde
3. Robertson
6. Ihiekwe
7. Ogbene

Well done to everyone who was voted Man of the Match in August and ‘Congratulations’ to Kyle for winning the accolade this month.

Also thanks to all who voted!
