Millers Match Zone

Which Millers Deserves Top Player v Manchester City?

|

Rotherham United might have lost seven-nil at The Etihad today but Pep Guardiola fielded almost a complete first team eleven out there this afternoon.

They were good – in fact they were excellent – but there is always that Miller who goes that step further than any other to be worthy of Man of the Match.

But who would you give that accolade too?

Marek Rodak made a couple of first class saves – but would he get it having let seven goals in? I don’t think Joe Mattock or Clark Robertson did a lot wrong and Anthony Forde got forward a couple of times as did Jon Taylor and Ryan Williams, once he was on, what I think, is his ‘proper’ position on the wing.

A lot of the ninety minutes today I thought our players looked a little overawed and were often caught ball (or player) watching – but it was as big an occasion for them as it was for us in the stands watching.

If I had to pick a Man of the Match it would go to Ben Wiles who I thought fought for balls and wasn’t afraid to make the odd tackle and was good on the ball too.

But what about you – who would you pick? How will you rate the Millers players?
