Let’s have a quick update on what’s been happening with Rotherham United since Saturday’s home loss.

There have been rumours galore that ‘a Millers striker’ is set to leave and join a Championship club. I don’t think it would take much to guess who this striker is, having very few strikers on the books at the moment. Would the club sanction a move for Michael Smith when our only option up front is him and JJ? I’d doubt it. Plus, today, Bristol City have said they have ‘moved on’ from him as a target. Although, of course, it could be possible there is another Championship club after him.  Meanwhile there are no signs of a striker joining the ranks – yet.

Shane Ferguson, who joined the Millers in the summer from Milwall, has been called up to the Northern Ireland squad who face Lithuania, Estonia and Switzerland next month. The EFL have released a statement today regarding players on international duty.

Some good news is that Chieo Ogbene‘s injury isn’t too bad after he was forced to go off with just twenty-five minutes on the clock on Saturday. After scans on the muscle injury the club said that the winger shouldn’t be out ‘too long’ although wouldn’t say exactly how long.

The club have again apologised for the problems supporters had getting into the ground on Saturday and are confident that these problems will be resolved saying that anyone wanting to call at the Red and White Shop this week to check whether their 2021/22 Season Cards are active are more than welcome to do so.
