Despite making a ‘good fist of it’ Rotherham United lost away at Portsmouth this evening after twice coming from behind to equalise.
Possession was fifty-five per cent to the hosts and forty-five per cent to the Millers (I’d have thought it was more like fifty-fifty). Pompey also got the better of the stats in duels – with them winning more in the air (which, I presume, was mostly down to Harrison).
The Millers had six corners to Portsmouth’s two and we had fourteen shots at goal of which five were on target to Pompey’s eight on target from sixteen shots. The majority of our shots were from outside the box.
Our passing accuracy in our opponents half was forty-one per cent according to the stats with our crossing accuracy coming out at twenty-nine per cent.
For the last ten minutes Rotherham were down to ten men due to an injury to Billy Jones and having no subs left to put on, but the Millers still tried to get something from the game forging forward when they could.
