Warne ‘Too Many Under Performers’

Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne says that there were a few ‘under performers’ after today’s one-nil home defeat to Wycombe Wanderers.

Speaking to iFOLLOW the Millers Boss said, ‘It was disappointing after our mid-week display. They got the early goal and frustrated us and credit to them but we didn’t play at our best. We didn’t look confident which is worrying.’

Our home form is worrying and to me, an observer, it looks like we are frightened to lose at home. There’s no flow, the movement is a bit wooden. There were players who didn’t look like they knew where they were supposed to be and others sending balls where they expected a red shirted player to be but he wasn’t.

OK, we didn’t get any luck today but, you know, I’m a firm believer in you make your own luck. We had some chances but nothing that really looked like creating a goal.

At the moment it really seems to be one step forward and two back. You aren’t going to get yourselves up the league when it’s like that.  And I do think we need to make the New York Stadium a fortress – how, I’m still pondering about.
