Warne ‘Hastie Has Pace To Burn’

Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne brought in just one player on deadline day which is the one we’ve been expecting Scottish winger Jake Hastie and he expects him to ‘excite the crowd’.

Good – because on Saturday the crowd needed exciting as I thought the singing/chanting during the game was some of the worst I’ve heard at the New York Stadium.

Speaking to the Official Site after eventually announcing the arrival of this summers twelfth signing, Warney said ‘Jake is a tenacious player with pace to burn.’

Again, good – although, to be fair, I think we have some good runners in the side – Matthew Olosunde for one and the other new boy Chiedozie Ogbene looked pacey as well as Ben Wiles.

‘He can play anywhere across the front three and out wide,’ Warne carried on, ‘and he wants to be the best he can be.’

Speaking to Freeview on his arrival Jake said he was buzzing and looking forward to getting going and was hoping to reach the play-offs with the Millers. He was also hoping to score goals and get as many assists as possible.

Another ‘good’ from me!

Meanwhile earlier today the Millers had sold two thousand nine hundred tickets for the Keepmoat on Saturday and had received another seven hundred and eighty-one which are all now on General Sale.
