Warne Getting The Targets He Wants

|

Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne says recruitment is constant and complicated.

Already busy in the transfer market, the Millers have brought in five players – Conor Washington, Peter Kioso, Tom Eaves, Jamie McCart and Cohen Bramall – Kioso, McCart and Washington all playing forty-five minutes in last nights friendly win over Parkgate, Washington scoring.  Eaves and Bramall were deemed not fit.

But the Millers Boss is still hoping to get more in. Speaking to iFollow he said, ‘some agents are easy to deal with, some very difficult with ridiculous demands which will always slow things down.

‘I feel like all the lads who have come in so far will improve us and I’ve got the two wing-backs I said I wanted some months ago. They’ve all trained really well and settled in straight away.

‘So, we are in a good place but it’s a constant thing. At the moment we are possibly five signings short. But we are getting there and getting the targets that we want.’

One thing Warney did say was that a target he was after went to another club yesterday which he was disappointed about. Who it was he wasn’t saying but I’m guessing it wasn’t  Richarlison who left Everton for Spurs for a reported £60m.

So it sounds like there are more to come to the New York Stadium – who and when it is just a waiting game.
