Warne Pleased To Get Flo

|

Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne says that it’s ‘great news’ that  Florian Jozefzoon has joined the Millers on a season long loan.

Speaking to iFOLLOW the Millers Boss praised the recruitment team headed by Rob Scott while thanking Derby County who he said had been ‘very helpful’ in getting Flo to Rotherham.

Saying that it’s not often the Millers sign a footballer who has played for Ajax and PSV, the Gaffer said, ‘we didn’t sign him because of that, we signed him for his ability and I think Florian is ideal for the way we play and the best replacement we could get for Chieo (Ogbene) (who is out injured). He’s not one hundred per cent at the moment and we need to get him a little bit fitter and a little bit sharper.

‘He can play on either wing, he’s got two good feet, he’s quick and I think he’s a real good signing for us.’

Meanwhile the player himself says he is ‘really happy and pleased’ with his move to Rotherham.

‘I can’t wait to start,’ the twenty-nine year old said. ‘After the meeting with the manager I told my agent I wanted to play for this organisation and for him especially. I will try and help the team all I can.’

Asked what he can bring to the Millers, Flo said, ‘I’m a winger who tries to take on people, give crosses and have a shot on goal.’

Well, we can’t ask for much more than that can we!
