Vital Rotherham United’s Player Of The Year is SEMI AJAYI.

The twenty-five year old joined the Millers from Cardiff City, originally on loan signing permanently at the end of March 2017.

In his fifty-one appearances this season Semi has scored eight times – at home against Leeds United, Blackburn Rovers (where he scored twice), and when Norwich were the visitors plus an away goal in our draw at Reading and two in our only away win of the season at QPR.

The tall Nigerian, who has played in the heart of the back four or as a holding midfielder this season, was voted Vital Rotherham’s Player of the Month in August, September and March.

The October and November awards went to goalkeeper Marek Rodak with Clark Robertson getting the accolade in December. Will Vaulks was voted Man of the Month in January, Michael Ihiekwe got the nod in February while the last months player of the month, which was April (plus one game in May) went to Matt Crooks.

At the Rotherham United end of season awards Semi won the ‘Goal of the Season’ for his strike against Leeds United while Michael Smith was named the clubs’ Player of the Year.

Well Done, Semi!

Thanks to everyone who has taken time out to vote this season – it is very much appreciated.
