Vital Rotherham United’s Man of the Month for October is striker Sam Nombe.
Sam was voted our Man of the Match twice this month, the first time in our home game against Reading where he scored the first goal in the two-one win and again in the three-all draw at Peterborough where, again he scored to equalise one-all. Sam also scored in our first away win of the season at Cambridge earlier in October.
Goalkeeper Cameron Dawson also got two Man of the Match wins – the win at Cambridge and in our defeat at Leyton Orient – and has kept two clean sheets this month. But Sam gets the accolade because he got one vote more in the games he was Man of the Match.
Our Bristol Street Motors game against a Newcastle U21 side which the Millers won two-one at the New York Stadium saw Jack Holmes get the vote with Joe Powell being voted our Man of the Match in our home game against Wrexham.
Our last game of the month was a two-nil win over Stevenage when the vote went emphatically to Zak Jules.
WELL DONE SAM!
