Rotherham United played five games in the first month of 2019, four league games of which one was won, and one FA Cup game away at The Etihad Stadium against Manchester City.

The first game of 2019 saw Preston North End at the New York Stadium with Vital Rotherham voters not able to chose between Sean Raggett, Marek Rodak and Will Vaulks for Man of the Match.

In the next two away games against Manchester City and Ipswich Town Ben Wiles got the vote while Will Vaulks got most points for our home game with Brentford. Our last game of January saw Leeds United at the New York Stadium when defender Joe Mattock was voted Man of the Match.

So, that makes both skipper Will Vaulks and Ben Wiles twice being voted as Man of the Match so then we add and divide, take away the first number you thought of and we come to the fact that January’s Vital Rotherham Man of the Month is WILL VAULKS.

Sorry Ben, it was a close thing!

Will joined the Millers in the summer of 2016 from Scottish side Falkirk, scoring on his debut against Wolverhampton Wanderers. Taking over the captains armband when Woody isn’t available Will has made one hundred and twenty-five appearances for Rotherham up to now scoring fifteen goals with us Millers fans seeing his back-flip celebration six times this season – let’s hope there’s more to come!

Thanks to everyone who takes the trouble to come on the forum to vote or votes on Facebook and/or Twitter – it is very much appreciated!
