Vital Rotherham United’s Man of the Match for the month of March was striker Leon Best.

Leon joined the Millers in November last year after a successful trial under Neil Redfearn. Although it’s perhaps fair to say his debut didn’t go as planned when he was sent off at Elland Road against Leeds on seventy-two minutes. During his suspension he got an injury which then kept him out of the side and he didn’t get to play again until February.

Leon played in all four games during March and scored three goals – two in our comeback against Derby when he came off the bench and the other being the only goal at Ipswich the following week with Leon being voted Man of the Match in both those games.

The other two games was our win over Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough when goalkeeper Lee Camp got the vote and our home win against Middlesbrough when Greg Halford was voted the Man of the Match despite a red card at the end of the game.

Well Done Leon!
