Vital Rotherham’s Man of the Month for April is ‘home grown’ midfielder Ben Wiles.

The twenty-three year old came through the Youth ranks with the Millers making his first team debut in the Football League Trophy in October 2017 and his league debut in the Championship the following August.

Ben got three ‘Man of the Match’ awards during April, the first being in our Papa John’s Trophy win at Wembley where he scored a cracking goal to make it one-one against Sutton United. In the following game, at home to Charlton, he was also voted our Man of the Match followed by his third ‘win’ away at Burton.

Our loss at Portsmouth saw loanee defender Jordi Osei-Tutu get the accolade with Ollie Rathbone getting two man of the matches this month firstly in the home win at Ipswich and then the away draw at Sunderland. Also winning two was another loanee Rarmani Edmonds-Green who was voted man of the match against Oxford United at the New York Stadium as well as in our promotion winning game at Gillingham where his toe-poke over the line gave us the lead on thirty-four minutes.

Well Done, Ben!

Thanks to all who voted!
