Neil Redfearn was pleased to get his first point as Rotherham United Manager last night just as much as he was pleased with the second half performance from his side against, who he thinks, are the best side in the Championship in Reading.

Meanwhile Royals Manager Steve Clarke said he thought his side bossed the first half but gave credit to the Millers for getting themselves back into the game.

‘It was a tough game and I thought we had decent control in the first half,’ the Reading Boss said.

‘The second goal in the game was going to be crucial and it obviously went to Rotherham who I thought were terrific. After they got the boost of that goal they had a right go at us.

‘I think they were the first team to have created so many chances against us and caused us so many problems.’

Speaking about the first goal which came from former Sheffield United player Nick Blackman, Clarke said, ‘I don’t use the word class very often but that pass from Oliver Norwood and the movement from Blacky then that finish well that was different class.

‘Unfortunately it wasn’t enough to get us three points but we aren’t going to win every game and we are still on a fantastic run.’
