Rotherham United’s new signing, Andy Todd, has told TeamTalk what it was that made him sign for The Millers.

‘I was particularly impressed with the pedigree of the manager,’ he said, ‘and also the rest of his staff. I had no hesitation in agreeing to come to Rotherham.’

Twenty-eight year old Todd signed from Accrington Stanley where he was a key figure in their survival last season and was offered a new contract. But, when he met Mark Robins and his coaching staff he reconsidered and signed a two-year deal at Millmoor instead.

‘After playing in every game last season I know what the requirements are for League Two and I hope I can play a major part in getting them back into League One at a first attempt.

‘I am looking forward to the challenge.’
