Three Millers In Team Of Season

At last nights EFL Awards the Football Manager Sky Bet League One Team of the Season sees three Rotherham Players in the eleven.

In defence is Michael Ihiekwe who has made forty-three league appearances and has scored twice. Midfielder Dan Barlaser is also in there with nine league goals in forty-two appearances.

The last player being striker and Millers top scorer Michael Smith who has played in forty-three league games finding the net nineteen times. He was also nominated for the League One Player of the Season and was narrowly beaten by Barry Bannan, Scott Twine being the third player.

The rest of the team consists of Michael Cooper from Plymouth in goal, defenders Jack Whatmough from Wigan and MK Dons’ Harry Darling. In midfield there is James McClean from MK Dons, Sheffield Wednesday’s Barry Bannan and Wes Burns from Ipswich Town while the Dons’ second player Scott Twine sits just behind the strikers. Alongside Smudge up front is Ross Stewart of Sunderland.
