Rotherham United got a point away at Shrewsbury yesterday afternoon which saw the Millers move up two places to nineteenth.
But what about those stats?
The Millers had fifty-three per cent possession at the Croud Meadow and had twelve shots at goal although just one on target four shots were blocked. The hosts had one on target from four shots.
While the hosts had eight touches in the box the Millers had sixteen more and also had five of the eight corners of the afternoon.
Neither goalkeeper had a shot to save with Shrewsbury winning forty aerial duels, ten more than Rotherham. The hosts gave away seventeen fouls, the Millers seven and there were two yellow cards for each team.
So, looking at these stats you would think that the Millers were on top for most of the game yesterday – personally, I didn’t see that, although, no doubt about it, it was better in the second half. Was it the subs who came on? Was it the words in the dressing room at half-time? I don’t know the answer but if the management team find out then can they please do whatever it was from the start of the game on Tuesday?
