The Stats – Millers v Addicks

Rotherham United got a useful point away at the Valley last although Manager Paul Warne doesn’t think his team were ‘at their best’.

It was a very stop/start game with the Millers, in my opinion, on top after the first half and the hosts having the better of the second half. The stats show us that it was pretty even regarding possession, Rotherham having fifty-one per cent.

The aerial duels saw Charlton win fifty-nine per cent while the Millers had eight corners to their three. Our passing accuracy in the opponents half came out at fifty-four per cent and passing accuracy all over the pitch sixty per cent. Personally, I’m a bit surprised at that as I didn’t think our passing was on the mark last night.

Rotherham had twelve shots at goal of which three were on target with the Addicks having seven on target from eleven shots. Seven of our shots came from inside the area.

Defence wise the tackles success rate was eighty per cent for both teams while we conceded eighteen fouls to the hosts ten. There were seven yellow cards last night, four for Rotherham – I’m not sure all of those were warranted to be honest.
