The Stats – Millers Away At MK Dons

Rotherham United got their fourth away victory of the season yesterday this time against MK Dons who started the day just one place and two points behind the Millers.

But what about those stats?

Strangely, for me at least, possession wise, from the Official Site, it says that the hosts had sixty per cent to Rotherham’s forty per cent. I am finding that a bit hard to believe to be honest.

MK Dons also got more percentage in the aerial duels at fifty-three per cent while the Millers had seven corners to their three. Passing accuracy in our opponents half came out at fifty-eight per cent while both sides had eleven shots we had five on target to the Dons’ two and ten of our shots were inside the box. And, according to these stats, we conceded twenty fouls – again, I ask, what constitutes a foul? Is it another official who was, again, conned into giving a free-kick when a player fell down? I suspect it was. Both sides got a yellow card apiece, although one was also given to our management.

I might be biased but I did think we were the better team and I also thought we saw more of the ball. Our play from set-pieces was very good and we attacked and defended well – can’t say much more than that can you!
