The Stats From Rotherham Away At Bournemouth

|

Rotherham United came away with nothing from Bournemouth this evening although I do think we deserved a point. Just one goal scored tonight which went to the hosts when maybe it could have been three-three – though I might be looking through rose-tinted specs I suppose.

The Millers had forty-one per cent of the possession tonight with the duels success rate coming out at fifty-nine per cent, the aerial duels at sixty-three per cent, though, if you were watching the game on Sky Sports you will know that, size wise, we are a ‘big team’ as it was mentioned on many occasions.

There were nine corners, five going to the hosts with our passing accuracy in our opponents box being forty-six per cent. Rotherham had seven shots at goal but just one of those on target (the Ben Wiles one I’m presuming) with the Cherries having six on target from eleven shots.

Defence wise our tackle success rate was sixty-three per cent to the seventy-one per cent of our opponents with the Millers giving away ten fouls to the Cherries nine and the three yellow cards of the game all going to the visitors (thought Ben Wiles was very harsh).

My broken record is out again and it says ‘we need to take those chances’.
