Taylor? Williams? Wood? Who Was Your Millers Man Of The Match v Leeds?

Rotherham United might have lost today at Elland Road against Leeds United but what about the way the players performed?

Particularly in the first half, I thought both wingers, Jon Taylor and Ryan Williams, made room for themselves and managed to get crosses into the box.

Goalkeeper Marek Rodak didn’t have that much to do although, once again, he did bring off a couple of good saves, even initially saving for Leeds’ first goal.

We have to mention skipper Richard Wood who got his head to a few balls before a white shirt as well as heading the ball off the line which would have been a certain goal.

Semi Ajayi was playing in the same unfamiliar role he played in on Tuesday in the Cup win over Wigan and I was quite impressed with the way he broke up play. Unfortunately in the second half he was dragged back along with everyone else.

In fact, in the first half, although Leeds did have chances, they were mainly from long distance.

We also got to see around twenty-five minutes of latest signing Ryan Manning – what did you make of him?

So, who was YOUR Man of the Match? Who deserves top points?

Solid performance from R’ham today, eventually overwhelmed by the nature of LUFC’s high press and fitness.
Very impressed with your guy Williams; quick, enthusiastic and effective. You’ve got a good one there.
Thinking about the standard of teams in Championship last season you should be pretty confident of comfortably staying up.

Thanks for the comment chrispb. I think a lot of us were expecting a hammering yesterday after your previous results so perhaps were happy with just letting in the two goals! I’m a big Ryan Williams fan he mostly came off the bench towards the latter half of last season and his enthusiasm often paid off. On the coach coming back yesterday (when we finally got out of the car park!) we all agreed that if we could get to the last four or five games and know that we were stopping up we’d be quite happy. Are you confident that Leeds can up and if so stay up?
