Substitute Adebayo Akinfenwa scored a last minute equaliser at The Liberty Stadium today after Eugen Bopp put the Millers in the lead eleven minutes into the second half.

The Millers were without injured players Colin Murdock, Paul Hurst, Michael Keane, Lee Williamson and Pablo Mills, who failed a late fitness test today.

The home team started full of confidence following their 5-0 drubbing of Carlisle last week and former Swans keeper, Neil Cutler was tested by Thomas Butler after just three minutes. Cutler was again brought into the game five minutes later when he made a finger tip save from Swans striker Rory Fallon.

But the Millers started to get back into the game and on the 24th minute should have opened the scoring but Willy Gueret made a great save from Martin Woods. Woods had two other shots at goal before Swansea started to fight back and Dennis Lawrence and Leon Britton were unlucky not to get the ball in the net.

The second half started with Will Hoskins hitting a shot into the side netting and the Swans Fallon saw a shot go just past the upright. Then Bopp hit the ball from 30 yards out and it took a deflection to wrong foot Gueret and roll into an empty net.

Good saves from both Gueret, from Hoskins, and Cutler, from Lawrence, kept the score at 1-0 and Bopp also cleared off the line from Fallon. Both managers made substitutes – Akinfenwa came off the bench to replace, Marcos Painter, on loan from Birmingham, and Richie Partridge was brought off in favour of young Stephen Brogan.

Two minutes from time Cutler made a save from Kevin Austin and it looked as though the Millers would be going back home to South Yorkshire with three much needed points in the bag. But on the 90th minute up popped Akinfenwa to head the ball past Cutler to get a point for the home team.
