Rotherham United will not be signing Dominic Samuel who was released at the end of the season by Blackburn Rovers with the Lancashire Telegraph saying that the deal has ‘fallen through’.

Striker Samuel played a handful of games for Reading, in the Premier League and Championship, and while there had loan spells with Colchester, Dagenham and Redbridge, Coventry, Gillingham and Ipswich Town (once against the Millers) before signing for Blackburn Rovers in July 2017 again playing in a game against Rotherham. An anterior cruciate ligament injury saw his second season limited to three appearances but he came back to play in fifteen games last season.

It is rumoured around social media, though nothing official has been said, that the twenty-six year old has failed a medical in the last week although he did play in the last half a dozen games for Rovers.

So, if the Millers were after a striker it looks like they are still on the look out.
