Stats Time – Millers v Hatters

Rotherham United got their second point of the week with a goalless draw at a windy Kenilworth Road against Luton Town.

Both sides had chances to score with the hosts actually getting the ball into the net only for referee David Webb to blow for a foul on Jamal Blackman – I actually thought that was a poor decision, although, as a Miller of course I am going to accept it.

Tonight’s stats tell us that Luton had fifty-six per cent possession to the Millers’ forty-four with the visitors having seven corners, one more than Town. They also say that Rotherham had a fifty-seven per cent success rate in the duels while winning fifty-five per cent of those in the air.

Our passing accuracy in our opponents half was fifty per cent, Luton’s just a little more with the Millers’ crossing accuracy being twenty-five per cent and Town’s slightly less. Luton conceded eleven fouls to Rotherham’s eight with the only yellow of the night going to United’s Michael Smith.

Attack wise there were twenty-two shots at goal this evening, thirteen to the hosts and nine for the Millers with Rotherham having two on target to Rotherham’s three with five of our shots coming from outside the box.

We could really have done with a couple of our chances sneaking in tonight – given the date we could have done with some of the ‘force’ – but we will go again on Saturday when we will have fingers, toes and eyes crossed.

Up The Millers.
