Stats – Millers v QPR

|

Rotherham United’s FA Cup run came to an end yesterday but not before the Millers had taken the lead and took Championship side Queens Park Rangers to extra time and penalties.

But what about yesterday’s stats?

The hosts edged the possession having fifty-four per cent but the Millers had ten corners to their eight and won sixty-four per cent of the aerial duels.

Our passing accuracy in our opponents half came out as fifty-five per cent, Rangers having a couple per cent more with both sides crossing accuracy being twenty-three per cent. We conceded eight fouls, the hosts ten more with two yellow cards being issued to the Millers and one to Rangers.

Attack wise Rotherham had seventeen shots at goal of which four were on target, thirteen of those shots from outside the box. The Hoops had seven shots on target from twenty, fifteen of those outside the box.

As the Boss said in his post match interview he felt we got better as the game went on. And I agree. We seemed to get stronger, more determined. We had a couple of decisions go against us, one probably right, one definitely not and had that one been given . . . . well, we will never know will we.

A good spirited performance Rotherham, now back to the league on Saturday with a visit to the seaside.
