Stats – Millers v Fleetwood

Rotherham United and Fleetwood Town played out a two-all draw at the New York Stadium yesterday afternoon with the Millers having the better of the possession.

The visitors had three ore corners than the Millers – nine to six – but Rotherham won more aerial duels with the stats saying we won sixty-one per cent.

Out passing accuracy in the opponents box was fifty per cent and all over the pitch came to sixty-five per cent. The Millers had eleven shots at goal with four of those being on target to Fleetwood’s sixteen shots of which seven were on target.

Rotherham gave away thirteen fouls to the eleven of Fleetwood.

This was the first time the Millers had been involved in a game reffed by Peter Wright of Merseyside and, to be honest, it might be a good thing if we didn’t see him again for a while. I think it’s fair to say he wasn’t best liked from three sides of the ground.

As a footnote I just wonder what Lamy has to do to get on the pitch – with all this illness/injury in the camp surely, unless he’s also ill, he should have got some minutes yesterday?
