Stats – Millers At Home v QPR

Rotherham United won their first home game since the first week in February having to come from one down to get all three points this evening against an experienced Queens Park Rangers side.

Two goals from Freddie Ladapo and a late one from Michael Smith cancelled out a Lyndon Dykes goal on fifty-two minutes.

The stats read that QPR had sixty-two per cent of the possession while the Millers duel success rate was better at fifty-three per cent and the aerial duels show that we won fifty-seven per cent of those. Rotherham also had seven corners to Rangers’ four with our passing accuracy in our opponents half coming out as fifty-two per cent.

Attack wise we had fourteen shots at goal to our visitors’ twelve with the Millers having five on target to QPR’s three. Our shots outside the box total five and inside the box nine. We conceded eleven fouls, two more than our opponents and all four yellow cards tonight were shown to the men in red and white.

Our Manager was obviously happy with the result tonight but has to start thinking straight away about the next game against Coventry on Thursday. Meanwhile Rangers’ Manager Mark Warburton told their Official Site, ‘With no lack of respect from us, they are very good at the physicality, they throw it into the box time after time. It’s very nice playing good football but you have to create and take your chances and we didn’t do that.’
