Rotherham arrived at blackpool yesterday knowing a win could lift them out of the drop zone.

The millers were backed by a very healthy and boisterous following

FIRST HALF: The Millers took control and looked the better side from start to finish, as they entered the game we looked very confident, passing the ball around like a top two side, not a bottom two. A nifty free kick by the man of the match Michael Keane was dealt with by Peter Clarke. Shortly after Paul Shaw struck just over when he should have done better. A further chance for Shaun Barker was headed over. The millers weere in control, then disaster struck Martin Butler got sent off for elbowing neil woods the player hit the deck as though he had been pole axed , miraculously he was back on his feet a minute later after butler had been shown the redcard, not by the referee who was only five yards away from the incident, but by the fourth official.

SECOND HALF- As you would expect having a man advantage Blackpool had the bulk of the possesion without really threatening the Rotherham goal. In fact it was the Millers who broke away and nearly snatched the lead through Michael Keane.
As the match petered out neither side could get the upperhand, Blackpool forced a couple of corners in the last five minutes, but in fairness they never looked like scoring.
A point is not a lot of good to both teams, now we face an inform Oldham at Millmoor on tuesday and a return for former millers boss Ronnie Moore.
