Rotherham ended there pre-season friendlies with a fine battling display at Millmoor tonight, indeed for long periods Rotherham had there Premiership neighbours on the back foot.

The Millers started well and it was no suprise when Eugen Bopp but the Millers 1-0 up after just 9 minutes on the clock.

The visitors gave debuts to new signings Rob Hulse and Li Tie but the Blades just couldnt get into there stride and were out fought and out battled for long spells by a determined Millers side.

Rotherham almost made sure of the win with nine minutes to go but Kenny made an excellent double save to deny Ryan Taylor, and it proved crucial as Nade – signed from Troyes this summer – latched on to trialist Jamie Clapham’s throw and produced a clinical finish.

So it ended 1-1 and for some at the match it was a dissapointment conceding so late, but on the other hand we played a strong looking Blades outfit so overall we must be happy.

After this encouraging performance, the ten point gap could be easily erased especially if we make a flying start to the new season, fingers crossed but i am quietly confident going into this new season and its a few years since ive been able to say that.
