Week in week out more and more matches get called off when the weather turns from glorious sunshine to a bit on the cold side, should more be done to make sure these matches get played on the original date?

In years gone by games were played with snow on the ground, now it seems one flake falls from the sky and everyone clamours to get the game postponed.

Todays game with oldham is a good place to start, we all knew the bad weather was on its way- so why wernt rotherham prepared?

Surely the ground should have been covered and heaters brought in to ease the frozen parts- the lost revenue of todays called off game can never be recouperated- as when it gets played( weather permitting ) on tuesday 14th of march, the attendance will be a lot smaller- due to less travelling over from oldham for a night match, which in turn results in less money taken at the tea bars, programme sales will be hit as will the club shop.

what is your opinion?
