Semi Becomes A Baggie

|

Rotherham United’s Nigerian International Semi Ajayi has left the Millers to join Championship outfit West Bromwich Albion for an undisclosed fee.

Centre-half Semi came through the youth ranks with Charlton Athletic joining the Arsenal Academy in 2013. While with the Gunners he had a loan spell with Cardiff City signing a permanent deal in 2015. Not playing for City he had loan spells with Wimbledon and Crewe before coming to the New York Stadium in January 2017. He impressed enough that two months later he signed a permanent deal with the Millers.

After a handful of U20 appearances for Nigeria the now twenty-five-year-old defensive midfielder got his first team call-up in August 2018 making his debut in a friendly against Uganda in November.

Semi leaves the Millers with one hundred and eight appearances under his belt and fourteen goal, eight of which he scored last season.

All at Vital Rotherham wish Semi ‘Good Luck’ in his future away from the Millers.
