Young striker Ryan Taylor has been diagnosed with glandular fever, a debilitating condition that often affects young people, however recovery is known to be a long and slow process.
Taylor, 18, made his first team debut in the Millmoor defeat against Swindon last December and has figured in 12 games this season mostly as sub, and he had a promising full debut against Norwich City in the Carling Cup.
Ryan may be unable to figure again for several months.
Should the club lose fellow striker Will Hoskins in January, this will leave the Millers very depleted up front, with only Facey, Hibbert and Newsham to choose from the first team squad.
