Rotherham United will be without winger Lionel Ainsworth for twelve weeks it has been revealed.

The twenty-five year old didn’t even make the game on Saturday against Plymouth Argyle at the New York Stadium after slipping in the pre-match warm-up and being taken to hospital with a suspected dislocated shoulder.

After scans it is now known that the former Shrewsbury player will need surgery keeping him out for three months.

Lionel has made thirteen appearances for the Millers since joining in the summer, his only goal coming in the Capital One Cup against Hull in August.

All at Vital Rotherham wish Lionel a speedy recovery
