RUFC – Will The Millers Go In For On-Loan Striker?

|

Striker Caolan Lavery, who is currently on loan with Rotherham United, is one of seven first team players his parent club Sheffield United have put on the transfer list.

Twenty-five year old Caolan joined the Millers in January on a deal until the end of the season and has made fourteen appearances in a Rotherham shirt, mostly off the bench, scoring twice.

Born in Canada Caolan spent his Youth career with firstly Ipswich Town before moving to South Yorkshire with Sheffield Wednesday who he played over thirty games for. While with the Owls he had loan spells with Southend, Plymouth, Chesterfield and Portsmouth.

Though his appearances for the Millers have been short and sweet he seems to have taken up the challenge from Paul Warne to make a nuisance of himself in and around the box and also appears to have slotted into the side when needed.

I don’t imagine anything will be done by Paul Warne while the Millers are still in the play-offs but I would think when seeing Lavs, as Warney calls him, is on Chris Wilder’s list of players he wants to move on, then he’ll be seriously thinking of talking to the Blades about him.
